About

Jack walks into the morgue as Tru follows, telling Davis that she wants to talk to Jack about reliving days but Davis doesn't think it's a good idea. Tru tells Davis it might be good to have someone to share the responsibility with. Davis tells Tru that she's important to him and she says she'll have to talk to Jack soon. Downtown a man is walking and collapses. Tru meets Lindsay and Randall at the diner but Randall has to leave to go to work. As he leaves, Lindsay hands Tru her cell phone. She reminds Tru that when they were younger they decided that whenever one of them gets proposed to they'd call the other and the first thing they'd say is, "Don't drop the phone." Lindsay tells Tru not to drop the phone. Tru is stunned to hear this and Lindsay tells her Randall wants to get married right away. Lindsay and Tru both agree it's insane but Lindsay thinks she might actually love him and is going to let him know by the end of the day. Back at work Tru runs into Luc, who's late for work. He tells her to avoid downtown since there was a big accident. The two talk about how they always end up in the same hallway at the same time. Tru finds Harrison at the morgue and he tells her that Lindsay left a message and said they need to talk. Harrison thinks Lindsay wants to reconcile but Tru tells him Lindsay is thinking of getting married to Randall. Harrison thinks Randall just wants a green card, but Tru tells him to stay out of it since it's Lindsay's decision. Jack brings in a body, the man who collapsed, there's an awkward silence between Tru and Davis that leaves Jack confused. Jack wonders what's going on and Jack guesses it's about the letter Jack got from the psychiatric facility. Tru tells Jack that she also relives days and the two go for a drink. They talk about how it's nice to know there's someone else out there like them and discuss how Jack had his suspicions that Tru might be reliving days as well. Jack tells Tru that he started reliving days after a near death experience, Tru tells him that hers started a few months back around the anniversary of her mother's death. Jack explains that people used to ask him for help but have stopped lately and he realizes it's because they'd rather go to Tru. Tru tells Jack she thinks what they can do is amazing, being able to help people. Jack wonders about the consequences, effecting things in life. Tru tells Jack that the only people who know are Harrison and Davis. Jack guesses that Tru told Luc and he bolted. She says he's wrong, that she didn't tell Luc. Jack tells that he hasn't told anyone about what he does. Jack gets a page and has to leave. Later, Tru is on the phone with Lindsay who says she said no to Randall's proposal and he said good-bye. Lindsay tells her it just felt like it was too fast. Tru goes to work and Davis notices she has an extra bounce in her step. She tells him she talked to Jack and how it feels so liberating. Tru tells Davis that Jack asked if she ever thought that what they do has a ripple effect. Tru tells Davis that from her conversation with Jack, she's not sure Jack allows believes what they do is a good thing. Jack comes in and finds out Tru told Davis. As Tru goes to help Jack they both hear a voice, the man who collapsed asks them for help and the day rewinds. Tru asks Jack where he picked the body up and they go there. They're too late, though, and the man still dies. Jack feels guilty, he thinks the man died because he initially got the directions wrong. At the morgue Tru and Davis discuss the man who died and Tru tells Davis that Jack is another her. Davis is skeptical, but Tru trusts Jack. Tru decides that they didn't lose this one with the doctor dying, he asked Tru and Jack to "help them" and that they couldn't have saved the doctor, Frank Colvin, if they'd gotten there on time. Tru and Jack go to a workshop where the doctor's son works. They tell his son, Mark Colvin, that his father died. They ask him to come to the morgue to claim the body but he says he'd rather not, they weren't very close. Mark tells them to try Dr. Colvin's office since that's where he spent most of his time. Harrison shows up at the morgue and startles Davis. Harrison starts to tell Davis the good news since he thinks Lindsay wants to reconcile but Davis says that there's another guy Lindsay is thinking of marrying. After some prodding, Davis tells Harrison that the guy Lindsay's thinking of marrying is an investment banker with an Irish accent. Just as he did before the day rewound, Harrison assumes Randall wants a green card. Jack and Tru go to Dr. Colvin's office and tell his receptionist that the doctor is dead and asks if someone can come to the morgue and claim the body. The receptionist mentions a girl named Lily who is waiting for Dr. Colvin. The receptionist tells them that Lily is a waitress who is going to junior college to become a doctor, Dr. Colvin was tutoring her. Jack and Tru tell Lily about the doctor and she's left distraught. Lily leaves a book and another waiter tells them that they can catch her on the #6 bus, the same one involved in the accident Luc mentioned before the day rewound. Tru and Jack race to stop the bus, Jack running in front of the bus to stop it and preventing the accident from happening. Tru tells Davis what happened and Tru wonders if saving Lily was what Dr. Colvin meant. Davis continues to be annoyed by Tru's blind faith in Jack and Tru thinks Davis is jealous. Tru tells Jack she wants to talk to the son again and tells him she can go alone. Back at the workshop Tru finds the receptionist talking to Mark. Tru tells him that his father wasn't so bad, he was tutoring a girl. Mark says that it was because the girl was studying biology, something that Dr. Colvin would be proud of but that he believed his father saw him as a failure since he was an artist. The receptionist starts to give up, but Tru tells her not to. Harrison walks into Randall's office, wanting to talk. Harrison threatens Randall if he uses Lindsay for a green card and breaks her heart. Randall shows Harrison a ring that his grandfather gave to his grandmother, which he intends to give to Lindsay when they move to London. At Dr. Colvin's office Tru helps the receptionist clean things up. Tru guesses that the receptionist was in love with Dr. Colvin and she tells Tru that she always thought there would be time. The two looks through some of the doctor's old charts and find that a woman who believed she was dying is actually going to live. Tru has Grace, the receptionist, call the patient. Tru goes to find the woman and gets a call from Jack. Tru realizes that Jack picked her up before the day rewound when she committed suicide and asks him why he didn't mention anything when they saw the woman when they were first at the doctor's. Jack finds Tru at the house and she realizes Jack wants the woman to die. Jack tells her Nadine, the woman, is supposed to die. He tells her he won't stop her and as Tru goes to save Nadine Jack adds that he won't stop her this time. Tru succeeds in saving Nadine. When Lindsay gets home she finds Harrison there, he got in since he never returned his key. He tells her knows about the proposal and he went to see Randall. Harrison tells Lindsay that Randall's the better guy and she should say yes. Grace has chosen a suit for Dr. Colvin and Tru offers to help in anyway. Lily stops by to return Dr. Colvin's book. Lily asks Grace if she liked the gardenia's Dr. Colvin got her for her birthday, Lily says Dr. Colvin chose them because they meant unspoken love. When Lily leaves Grace mentions that the one person Dr. Colvin wanted to help but couldn't was his son. Tru tricks Mark Colvin into stopping by his father's home. When Mark walks into the house he sees that his father has a large collection of his paintings, he's been buying them from galleries for years. Back at the morgue Tru runs into Luc in the hallway and tells him she wants to start again with him. He's skeptical but she says that this time there's something different. She kisses him and says that they'll talk that weekend about everything. Tru tells Davis that she saved a life that day but Jack tried to stop her, she says Davis was right and apologizes for not believing him. Tru says she's different and she accepts that but she wanted so badly to be alone, she was clinging to the idea of someone just like her and ignored the one person who's always there. Tru says Jack isn't like her at all and Davis tells her it isn't supernatural it's scientific fact, for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. Tru saves lives, Jack takes them.
